It wasn't a stupid name. Just one that most of the world has no clue how to pronounce correctly. So, two names, one Anglicized, for convenience.

Although, gramatically, Ibn al Xu'ffasch functions normally as a family name rather than as a given name.

Father died several months ago, at which point Grayson took up the mantle. Except he wasn't dead at all, came back, and now there are two men calling themselves Batman.

Father won't work with me, so Grayson remains my partner.

Not easy at all. I didn't meet her officially until I was eight.

She sent me to distract my father so she could conduct League operations without his interference. But when I chose to follow him, I was exiled, and declared an enemy. She had a younger clone of my own ready to replace me.

She'll probably kill me, if we meet again.



...But I miss her. A lot. She's my mother.

I never thought I'd ever get the chance or the time the see Father again. Much less reconcile with her. If there's one thing about this city that I like, then it's that chance.

[Maybe she had been a bit impatient about persuading Father back in her world, but she had limited time left. As a homunculus, her life would burn out faster than a human's.]

Parental conflicts aside, he's a great man.
